Thus, I have studied the genetic aspects over the last years. This has allowed the observation of autistic states as well as known syndromes such as Aarskog, XXX, amongst others.<\/p>\n<p>There is also the matter of sensory stimuli concerning these very states. This has become a field of interest that has allowed the study of the following aspects: face recognition, pain perception, time perception and sensory stimulation patterns. Furthermore, the study of specific symptoms (such as stereotypes and ritual states) have also become fields of interest along with the life-quality studies within this population and their family members (parents and siblings).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Academic\/Professional Background<\/strong><br \/>\nUndergraduate Degree in Medicine &#8211; Funda\u00e7\u00e3o do ABC (1974), Master\u2019s Degree in Psychology (Clinical Psychology) &#8211; Pontif\u00edcia Universidade Cat\u00f3lica de S\u00e3o Paulo (1985) and Doctoral Degree in Psychology (Clinical Psychology) &#8211; Pontif\u00edcia Universidade Cat\u00f3lica de S\u00e3o Paulo (1988) and Faculty habilitation &#8211; Faculdade de Medicina da USP (1993). The Professor currently holds an Associate Professor position at the Psychology Institute at Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo.
