The field which I have focused on is Preventive Clinical Psychology, both in terms of students’ qualification and research. It is my understanding that the benefits of Clinical Psychology must be applied to the population as a whole, whether it be in primary prevention, early diagnosis or rehabilitation. I have developed – with the use of EDAO (Escala Diagnóstica Adaptativa) and Operationalized Brief Psychotherapy* (Psicoterapia Breve Operacionalizada)- research studies and field work which is centered in the evaluation of human adaptation. The Theory of Adaptation and the Psychoanalytical Theory are the theoretical foundation for the work in question.
