The Graduate Program in School Psychology and Human Development started its activities in 1970 with the Master’s level and in 1974 the Doctorate level.
The course was created through Process no. 4108/7010, approved on June 9, 1970, under the responsibility of the Department of Psychology of Learning, Development and Personality (PSA)
On that date, the Central Coordination of Graduate Studies, now the Rectory of Graduate Studies, through its coordinator, Professor Paschoal Ernesto Américo Senise, approved the functioning of the “graduate courses in the area of School Psychology, at the master’s level ”.
At the time, Dean Miguel Reale signed the document’s authorization on June 16, 1970 and the resolution could be published in the Official Gazette (DOU) on June 19, 1970. The doctorate level, on the other hand, was approved in January 21, 1974.
Presently, the Program is accredited by verdict no. 875/86 at the Ministry of Education and Process CAPES n. 23.038.003.789/09.
