The profile of the student we intend to train includes three different types of convergent and complementary competences, only when put together will they fully achieve the objective of this question:
– Teaching skills
– Competence in research
– Competence in extension
The training of masters and doctors is therefore in line with these objectives.
Competence in research
We want to train researchers who are able to propose research problems that are consistent with contemporary challenges, articulating theory and method with precision, in order to promote original, solid and relevant research in the field, whose results promote social change, such as influencing the development and implementation of Public Policies for Health Promotion, Education, Social Assistance and Human Rights, and which should therefore be widely disseminated with quality, rigor and merit, through bibliographic production and technological innovation, generating products for social inclusion.
We have two axes here
- Training for research
- The dissemination of scientific knowledge, in accordance with and using current technological means
Teaching competence
We want to train teachers who are able to perform their educational, academic and social functions with excellence, which means being able to design class programs, courses, subjects and training at higher education level.
In the field of School Psychology and Human Development, which implies planning and making good use of: teaching content, didactics, assessment systems, teacher-student relationship strategies, pedagogical dynamics, bibliographic organization and the organization of innovative teaching resources.
